Elmo TMX - 10th anniversary of hell!
If by now you haven’t heard, Fisher Price has released a new anniversary edition of Tickle Me Elmo called Elmo TMX. By now that damn thing is sold out everywhere and prices are through the roof.
Here are just some of the places that had it listed:
Walmart - sold out of the English speaking and Spanish speaking version (Ay Carrumba!)
Target - Smarter than most and decided not to offer it online. In store sales - sold out.
ToysRUs - Sold out
Amazon - Has secondary sellers offering the toy for
Shop PBS - Finally erased the item from their database
For me, the most painful had to be Shop PBS though. I had placed an order for two for my niece and nephew and was told that the order would be delivered in October. A couple days later I got the nastygram that my order had been canceled and they weren’t sure if they would be getting more in. I mean if the company behind Sesame Street can’t get the damn things in, what are the chances of the rest of us.
I have seen it for sale on places like Ebay for as much as $1000 starting prices with the average piece going for about $100. There is even one guy selling a package of 5 Elmos and 10 Barbies with an Elmo for $100,000. What a nice human gesture, mate.
I want to know which masochist thought up this 10th anniversary of another Christmas hell, but i hope he has 10 kids all asking for this thing. I’m done looking. Happy Holidays!
