One of the best things about the Bay Area is the music/concert/comedy/sports events that take place every day and weekend. An especially good festival is the music concerts in Stern Grove. The shows are top notch and the renovated grove is an excellent place to spend an afternoon.

The main lineup announcement will announced on May 1st, but I’ve found these artists announced so far:

• Seu Jorge plus Aimee Mann and her Band on June 18th
• Otis Taylor on June 25th
• Rebirth Brass Band on July 2nd
• Mavis Staples plus Jackie Greene on July 23rd
• Spanish Harlem Orchestra on August 6th
• Ozomatli on August 20th

Should be another great summer for concerts.

For some time, I’ve wanted to get a jazz podcast going to help promote classic jazz. Thanks to Ioda (and the great and helpful Corey Dennis), I’ll be able to soon get it up and running.

While searching through a storeroom I found a printer which we aren’t using and would like to give away. Status unknown but should be good for parts; I know there are techs which still have to maintain these things.

St. Patrick’s Day in the City is always a fun event. This year I went to the Oreilly Street mob and had a great time with friends. Peaceful and overall a civil affair.

This morning I saw the effects of late night reveling in my neighborhood. Vomit on the sidewalks, stale stench of beer in parking lots and debris everywhere. Yea, some partying.
