I just read that Marcus Miller is playing with Lalah Hathaway at the San Francisco Jazz Festival this year.

Looks like he’d rather be in San Francisco than the Canary Islands.

Octagon at the Canvas Gallery

The picture above is from tonight at the Canvas Gallery. Bryan Girard¡Çs jazz series continues with an eight piece ¡Èsmall big band¡É, led by Graham Bruce, named Octagon.

The group played mostly original tunes and arrangements, with a couple of vocal pieces mixed in to the sets, including a sultry rendition of ¡ÈI Don¡Çt Wanna Cry Anymore¡É. Good stuff.
